The vision for this piece came to me when walking in the woods and finding sun rays streaming down through the tree branches, creating what looked like a cathedral in the leaves. Numerous hand-dyed batik fabrics in an array of beautiful hues, were assembled, puzzle style, to give this artwork vibrancy and spiritual meaning. 24" x 24" limited edition prints $170.
A three-dimensional piece resembling a house is the framework for this colorful batik fiber assemblage featuring a clay apple. The apple represents new life, vitality and freshness, and a tree represents the cycle of life. Suitable for the wall or the tabletop. 17.5"H x 12"W x 3.5" $675.
A bubbling mountain stream was the inspiration for this piece created with Indonesian cotton batik fabrics in various shades of blue green. The fabric patterns were chosen to suggest bubbles, rocks, fish and plant life under the moving water. The column of red suggests rapid movement of water, a zing of energy in the midst of tranquility. 60"H x 40"W x 2.5" Sold
